    Who: TBARC Members and families, invited Hams, prospective Hams, interested persons, well behaved dogs.
    Sign-Up: Please sign up and pay via PayPal no later than June 14.
    Why: Have fun, practice radio skills, test and demonstrate emergency communications capability. Promote good will with emergency responders, elected officials and the public.
    Accommodations: Camping, Tent Trailers, Tents, RV, or bunk in the cabin loft (bring sleeping bag)
    Cost: All weekend $ 30.00, or breakfast $ 5.00, lunch $ 6.00, dinner $ 10.00 for short timers. Payable by June 14 by PayPal.

    A beginners soldering class will be held on Tuesday, April 9th in the evening. If you want to sign up, use the signup link. There is limit of ten attendees due to space available.


    Youíll need to bring a soldering iron and inexpensive radio kit with you to the class. There are links on the signup page you can use to buy a soldering iron (if you donít have one) and the radio kit.

    If you're going to get an FCC Registration Number, there's a new procedure. Here's a video describing how things now work:




    The Thunderbird Amateur Radio Club is helping out the Science Center by providing instructors for their Technician Class License Course. This is a two-day course (March 2 and March 9). If you know someone who wants to get their ham license and hasn't yet, this is a great way to do it quickly.

    The course requires preparation in advance. See w7asc.org/edu.html for details on how to sign up. You'll need to act by February 16 to get signed up, so hurry!
