Here are some educational resources in the Phoenix area to help you earn or upgade your amateur radio license.

TBARC Exam Sessions

The next TBARC exam session is scheduled for Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

TBARC License Courses

Amateur Extra Class License Course

TBARC will be holding a 10-week class to help you get your Amateur Extra class license. It will on Saturdays from 9:00 am to noon starting on March 3 and running through May 5. This will be one of the last chances to get your Extra license before the question pool changes in July. See the 2012 Extra Class Flyer for further details.

Arizona Amateur Radio Club (AARC)

Arizona Amateur Radio Club (AARC) holds license examination sessions on the 4th Saturday of the month from September through May. The testing sessions are held at 7 PM at the American Red Cross Building, 6135 N. Black Canyon Highway (I-17), East side, just North of Bethany Home Road. Candidates must make arrangement at least 24 hours in advance to gain entrance to the facility. Amateur Radio Exam Scheduled at DeVry University

Amateur Radio examinations routinely sponsored by DeVry Amateur Radio Club and West Valley Amateur Radio Club will again hold VE Testing at DeVry University. To prepare yourself for the exam, David recommends the following: Take at least 20 practice tests on QRZ.com to make sure that you are ready.

International and the Superstition ARC

The AZ Desert Chapter 10-10 International and the Superstition ARC hold VE Testing sessions on the third Monday of every month at Mesa Cities Utilities Offices, 640 N. Mesa Drive, Mesa with registration starting at 6:00 PM. Contact Steve Gurley at 480-804-1469.

Boy Scout Troop 127

The Boy Scout Troop 127 holds VE Testing sessions at 8 :00 PM on the third Tuesday at St. Francis Xavier School, 4715 N. Central Ave., Phoenix, AZ. Contact John Kelly, 602-264-6854 for further information.
